1. WHAT ARE ELECTROLYTES

Electrolytes are forms of minerals that the body uses for chemical reactions, balancing fluids in and out of the cells, and other metabolic tasks like muscle contractions. These forms of minerals have electrical charges in the body and can be depleted from lack of nutrition, overexertion, and or certain medical issues. Most commonly known are Calcium(+), Magnesium(+), and Potassium(+).

2. WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE LOW ON ELECTROLYTES?

In acute situations, muscle cramps, fatigue, and lightheadedness can be symptoms experienced. In extreme cases heart palpitations, irregular heartbeat, tachycardia and even mental confusion can persist and require medical intervention.

3. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TAKE ELECTROLYTES?

Before, during, or after strenuous physical activity is ideal, but also anytime profuse sweating occurs. To ensure hydration is optimized it's always good to use some electrolytes with large portions of water, and or add them to your daily jug for all day supplementation. First thing in the AM, is also a great time to start hydrating for the day, and electrolytes may help improve that uptake. 

4. WHO NEEDS ELECTROLYTES THE MOST?

Anyone who performs moderate to intense physical activity. Whether it is work or working out, or just a long day outside electrolytes can be a great addition for hydration and overall wellness. Those who get very little minerals in their diet and or potentially eat a poor diet may benefit from the supplemental minerals.

5. HOW MANY DOSES OF ELECTROLYLTES DO I NEED?

1-2 servings a day of Electrolytes is normal, but those who perform intense physical exercise or are exposed to a lot of heat or sweating during the day would benefit from extra servings on top of that. Body weight may account for increased needs also, but it's best to consult a physician or sports trainer for doses above the suggested amount.  

6. WHAT MAKES CORE CULTURE™ ELECTROLYTES DIFFERENT FROM OTHER HYDRATION PRODUCTS?

Core Culture® Electrolytes are not only all-natural in its flavoring and sweetening (there is an unflavored option as well), but it also uses high quality sources of minerals coming from Coconut Water and Aquamin(tm). Being low carb it also allows any user to control their caloric intake by staying low carb or adding their own carb sources via powders, foods, and or other endurance products like gels and chews.

7. CAN I ADD CARBS/SUGAR TO ELECTROLYTES FOR SPORTS PERFORMANCE NEEDS?

Electrolyte by design is low carb and focuses on the mineral aspect of hydration. Carbs and sugar can enhance hydration and endurance and are completely fine to add or combine with Electrolytes as needed for physical activity, increased hydration, and or preference.

8. CAN I ADD ELECTROLYTES TO A LARGE JUG OF WATER FOR ALL DAY USE?

Electrolytes can be used in small doses or larger doses spread throughout the day. It would be best to find a sweet spot in taste and effect when using large amounts of water like a gallon jug. Try 4-6 servings and adjust to your taste preference and or needs to replenish from physical activity.

9. DO I NEED TO WORKOUT TO USE ELECTTROLYTES?

Electrolytes probably best suits those who are physically active, but 1-2 servings a day for a normal person who may not be as active is a great way to top off essential minerals, stay hydrated, and achieve overall wellness for the mind and body.
